As many countries around the world are starting to design and implement national Pollutant Release and Transfer Registers (PRTRs) the need for information exchange on PRTR issues has grown tremendously. To address this need, the Aarhus Convention Working Group on PRTR recommended the development of a "Virtual PRTR Classroom" (PRTR VC) which would be open to all countries.
